Born to Italian immigrants in Hoboken, New Jersey . . .
Sinatra . . . began his musical career in the swing
era with bandleaders Harry James and
Tommy Dorsey . . . Sinatra found success
as a solo artist after he signed with
Columbia Records in 1943 . . . "
