The World Must NOT Forget!
-
8372 killed (Srebrenica)
-
25609–33071 killed
Victims Total: 1.2 million displaced
-
25000–30000 expelled from Srebrenica
-
30000–50000 women raped
A darkened time in human history: a time of heinous, horrific slaughters committed
against innocent peoples
of Humanity.
-
Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) men and prisoners of war[1] (in Srebrenica)
-
Bosniaks, Bosnian Croats and other non-Serbs across other areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina
The Crime of Genocide is a
"Horrific Crime Against
HUMANITY!"
Innocent Lives lawlessly
taken . . .
by the hands of hate-filled
deadly violence . . .
which commit Genocide
upon Earth . . .
shall surely reap a well-
deserved fate. . .
as "ETERNAL JUSTICE"
yet with patience -
fervently awaits!
Food for Thought:
If the peaceful Families of Humanity Around
the World are NOT the ones committing
crimes of genocide . . . then WHO ARE
the lawless, slaughterous killers
of innocent Humanity?!

Secretary General's Message - July 11, 2025
Today marks the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica – the worst atrocity on European soil since the Second World War.

In July 1995, more than 8,000 Bosnian Muslim men and boys were systematically murdered. Thousands of women, children, and older persons were forcibly displaced, their lives forever shattered.
The intention was the elimination of Bosnian Muslims in Srebrenica.

We remember the victims and honour the courage of the survivors – including the Mothers of Srebrenica, whose tireless pursuit of justice ensured that the genocide was recognized in both law and history.

This day is not only a moment of reflection. It is a call to vigilance and action.

At a time when hate speech, denial and division are gaining ground, we must stand firm for truth and justice. We must detect early warning signs and respond before violence takes hold. We must respect international law, defend human rights, uphold the dignity of every individual, and invest in reconciliation and peace.

Let the memory of Srebrenica strengthen our resolve, so that “never again” truly means never again.

Azir Osmanović Address at the UN

APRIL 20, 2024
Azir Osmanovic, curator of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, survived the genocide in Srebrenica. He was only 13 years old when his childhood was interrupted and he had to grow up overnight. Yesterday he addressed the United Nations (UN), and his speech caused deep emotions. Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Ambassador to the UN Zlatko Lagumdzija cried, and others applauded for a long time.

In his address, Azir Osmanovic stated that he devoted his life to collecting material and other evidence about the disappearance of his community, the Bosnian Muslims in and around Srebrenica. Despite everything he experienced, he returned to Srebrenica and lives there with his wife and three children.

"Ladies and gentlemen,
On behalf of the survivors of genocide, on behalf of all who work in the name of justice and peace, of preserving truth – I urge you to adopt this resolution. The thousands of innocent lives lost during the Srebrenica genocide can never be recovered, and the wounds of those they left behind can never be fully healed. However, with this resolution, you have the opportunity to honor the lives of the thousands who were unjustly killed and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have been unjustly robbed of everyone and everything they hold dear. You, as Member states of the UN, have the opportunity to put an end to genocide denial and stop the glorification of violence. To help our struggle to find the remains of our loved ones so that they may be laid to a dignified rest. To impart the lessons of Srebrenica to the world and ensure a more peaceful future for our children. By designating July 11 th as the International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica, you confirm the judicially established facts of the Srebrenica genocide and stand on the side of truth and justice.
Excellencies, dear friends,
Thank you.
