Planetary Dignity?

Through centuries of scientific research and technological developments, the art of excavation [on Earth and outward to the moon], and further advancements through astronomical explorations to the far reaches of outer space, a conclusion can be drawn in the dawn of the 21st Century and new Millennium: There is yet much to learn and understand about planet Earth!

To add to the vast unknowns that yet bewilder and intrigue here on Earth, there is moreover much guess work and continued speculation on how the Universe came into being.

And being that focus on the origin of the Universe has always been at the center of research throughout the scientific community, curiosities concerning Earth and its place in the Universe is no novelty.

Embarking upon a quest to learn, understand and know with certainty Earth's beginnings can be likened unto an unsearchable journey for scientists as well as many 'every-day people' - who dare to question and reach beyond traditional norms and customs.

From religious points of view, however, there is no curious contemplation concerning Earth's creation: quite frankly the belief of Earth's existence - according to religious doctrine - alleviates the troublesome quest to achieve scientific claims yet to be completely proven.

Whether one hails from the school of scientific thought, traditional customs or religious beliefs - from moment-to-moment; from day-to-day - Earth has proven to be unpredictable!

From primitive means to the most advanced scientific and technological methods employed to gain a better understanding of the physical Earth - Our "Life-Sustaining Planet" has faithfully remained a constant reminder of its own "inherent Nature:" its intrinsic vivaciousness, tenacity of life, and forceful powers visible to every generation.

With monumental displays of its inherent powers that have been witnessed and deeply etched into the minds of ancient civilizations and passed onto subsequent generations throughout the annals of history - Earth, without any reservations, consistently proves an undeniable fact: EARTH is a living planet, "ALIVE & ACTIVE," inherently endowed with its own unique expressions of "Nature" that cannot be contained or controlled by mankind.
